Irma Windy Astuti is a lecturer and teacher trainer at English Language Education Department of Universitas Islam Indonesia where she also currently serves as the Head of the Department. She has taught range of courses from English proficiency-based subjects, ELT pedagogies to research subjects. Presently, she is also in charge of the department’s Teaching English to Young Learner program whilst coordinating the department’s curriculum evaluation and its implementation.
Irma holds a Bachelor degree in English Literature and a Master degree in English Education. Her research interest is in the areas of Novice/ Pre-service Foreign Language Teaching, Discourse Analysis and Technology Enhanced Language Learning (TELL). Prior to teaching English in Higher Education, she had experience teaching English in both primary and secondary level education for a number of years. In between her teaching/ training, research work and/ or presenting at international conferences, she enjoys reading, chilling-out and making time for traveling.
